Describe the property and location
Include the property type, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and any additional rooms you want covered. A home office, utility room or second living room can change the scope even when the bedroom count is the same.
Give your town or Eircode in County Kilkenny. State whether the property is a house, apartment or workplace and mention stairs or restricted parking. Location helps the provider assess their coverage and travel arrangements.
Name the cleaning tasks, not just the package
Say whether the request is for regular maintenance, a one-off deep clean or a move-related clean. Then list your priorities. “Kitchen, two bathrooms and downstairs floors” is easier to assess than “everything needs doing”.
Explain the current condition and any areas needing extra work. If you want oven interiors, inside cupboards or carpet treatment, name those separately. Different providers offer different services and may price extras separately.
Include timing and frequency
Give a preferred date or a few possible dates and explain any firm deadline. For recurring work, state whether you are considering weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits. Availability must still be confirmed by the provider.
Mention other events affecting access, such as a furniture delivery, handover or ongoing decoration. If flexibility is possible, say so. A clear timing request gives the provider a better starting point for a practical response.
Compare the full scope of each response
Ask whether the price is hourly or for a defined job, what is included, and whether supplies, equipment, travel or other charges are additional. If tax applies, ask whether it is included in the amount quoted.
Check exclusions, payment terms, cancellation arrangements and how extra work would be agreed. Compare proposals with the same task list. A smaller figure can cover a smaller job, so price alone may not tell you which proposal meets your needs.
